es7 broken cable ?

hey all headfiers,

I purchased a pair of ath-es7 from the fs forum near the beginning of the year.

Unfortunately, last week I stepped on the cable as I stood up from the computer chair -- I think I broke the wire inside.

Now the headphones are dead.. and wherever I try to figgle with the wire, no hints of sound is reproduced.

I'm not a DIYer.. but would a recabling help? Or perhaps any other methods of repair?

Thanks in advance.

Enjoy your easter long weekend !

Cheers,

A recable should fix it, depends on the extent of the damage. Its rather easy to open up the ES7. Pull off the earpads, unscrew a few screws and you can see the drvers inside. Open it up and post a few pics maybe?

No, rather given an opportunity to improve them.

well, I think if you can afford I should go straight to an upgrade (cable) as Andrew_wot said, and maybe you should
get back to us with your impressions!

Cheers!
