Literally took the words out of my mouth on that one...I probably would have pulled the trigger at $99, too :/.

This is a real nice IEM. Musical, has the punch and character that goes with almost all the songs. *Rock sounds nice on these phones. The details it presents to the listener are good (Though i like RE272's detail retreival, wish i had the RE0) in number. I would say, Moderate. The Soundstage, and the placement of the observer is nicely done. This is one IEM that can put me at ease. And this is coming from a guy who loves the RE272. The bass is Powerful to me, and i am no basshead. I think the 272s have ok bass response. But here, bass is beautiful. Songs where bass is a strong presence on the track, No sir, the TF10 doesnt back down. Lovely bass people, lovely. You have to appreciate the beauty of Acoustic/Unplugged albums on these phones. Eric Clapton Unplugged, i am talking about you. Lovely listen, all the punch, you are at the concert. I am underselling this combo, But seriously, iPod 5G Headphone out>Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 and play that Eric Clapton Unplugged. Seriously Big Bang for Buck.

EDIT: Retardish Sentences corrected

*Rock to me: Bon Jovi, oh, no, wait! you can just go see my last.fm profile

Even though that Cadence cable is up from the promo price, isn't it still  the lowest priced silver cable you can buy? I haven't priced pure silver at all.

It could be.  I'm not big on overpaying for cables, though.

What do you consider over paying? You mean like not being on sale, or you just don't buy cables over a certain price? If most silver are $200 or so, pure guess, then those at $112, are a smoking deal. Fully sheathed, silver, with a Viablue connector. Not to mention once again how gorgeous that blue is.

I agree on that price being 'good'.  I'll put it this way; HD650 cables are a good example of cables that get overpriced very often.  When you start approaching what you paid for the headphones, you've got to consider what exactly you're paying for.  As an example, I just bought a very gorgeous, purple-sheathed silver cable with a nice 1/4th plug and Cardas connectors for not much more than the cost of parts; $85.  It's about 5 ft long, so this actually isn't a far shot off of an IEM cable in length and material.

I paid $90 for my TF10, so the cost application criteria I mentioned above doesn't really apply.  However, considering the street price for them now is around $150, a $200 cable, even, is a bit of a stretch.  I would ideally play $100, give or take a bit, for an 'improved' cable.  The stock cable isn't fantastic, and I'd be more after functionality and quality of a new cable.  I'm one of the few that actually hasn't had a problem with my TF10 cable across two different pairs.

I will reserve my judgement on cables and how they effect sound until my cable arrives, but I remain a skeptic.

I didn't believe cables changed the sound until I got a SPC cable, then to me it did sound better. As for this pure silver, well if once again sound got better, great, but I am looking at it for appearance, since I wear my cable under my shirt, looks matter. :confused_face(1):
