post #7907 of 80533/20/13 at 4:03pmNah, not yet. I just bought a pair 2 weeks ago for $150 from an Amazon seller. Higher than they were, but at least, at long last I have a pair. At first I was not liking them as much as my SF5pros but as my ear adjusted I can't imagine I ever doubted. I do prefer the SF5Ps over them for a few applications, (when I need a more flat response for mixing usually) but not many.
post #7908 of 80533/21/13 at 7:58amI still love these TF10's in fact I really need to buy another pair as spares for when these die. The Heir Audio 5Ai's I also want will just have to wait!
I just received my 'Dark Lord' cable from Sunricky this morning and I'm really pleased with it.
Unfortunately my old UE cable is broken enough that I cant compare it directly to the new silver coated cable. Maybe it's a placebo, but surprisingly my TF10's actually do seem to sound different from what I remember. Bass is possibly slightly reduced but the highs seem to have been turned up a little and maybe further extended?
One thing that definately is a fact - Galaxy S 4.2/Neutron player starts clipping at a lower pre-amp volume level than before. Anyone have any ideas why that might be... lower damping?

I never got positive feedback for buying my Dark Lord cable, got it from another guy, not sunricky.
post #7910 of 80533/21/13 at 9:01amI have had my TF 10's for two years and I hate the original cable. I wear my IEM cables over my ears and despite the memory wire of the TF 10's that are not very pliable. What cable, that is cheap, does not degrade the sound and fits over the ears easily, would you guys suggest?

Fiio, NO WAY, Dark Lord for price, Chris Himself makes cables quite popular.post #7912 of 80533/21/13 at 10:29amAnother vote for the Dark Lord cable, realisticly priced yet seems to be quite well made. It does change the sound a little as I mentioned above but not for the worse... just slightly different. It does introduce a bit more microphonics but at least its not uber stiff like the horrible OEM one... definately a worthwhile upgrade.

In all honesty, I did have 2 minor issues with my Dark Lord cable. Nothing that would prevent me from giving it a recommend. The RCA connector started to come unscrewed, and I had to glue the rubber cover piece over the Y connector.

Yeah the rubber piece came off the y splits on my sunricky cables too. It's useless anyways, might as well cut it off, or glue if you like.

The chin slider also sucks, not the end of the world though.

Eh, it does the job IMO. Same style as my SM3 v2. It could be nicer...but then again it's a $30-$40 cable. If you want ornate **** then you should be willing to shell out $80+ for a Chris Himself and get an amber nugget with twisty shiny wires

That chin slider is actually rather common. Most of the cables / upgrade I have here have the same tubing, that includes SM3 V2, my RDB+ silver plated cable, and I'm pretty sure it's the same thing on Heir Ai cables.post #7918 of 80533/21/13 at 5:52pm- Watagump

Oh...I don't have that problem, but its not my primary IEM so it could be something that happens with use.
