Got my TF10 remolds in today from fisher. I also got a Chris Himself cable for them. Sounds amazing.
I was thinking of trying the h-100, but I don't think I'll ever go back to universals.

Guy's you don't need to purchase the H-100 Hybrid through ebay.. He's charging $178 dollars roughly.
If you contact Shinwoo the manufacturer directly via this email, mention Head-Fi you can get the discount price of about $140 - $120 with included EMS shipping. be sure to mention Head-Fi in your email and the thread here.
Here's the email..

I certainly consider them an upgrade over TF10.
Less congested, airy, defeat TF10 in clarity, better control of treble. Mid range is a touch lighter has a lot of depth, can sink deep depending on track, different vocal placement is obvious, rather than just hearing the singer centre stage constantly. Vocals will either be left / right / deep / forward bitta both, I know this from using tracks like Burial Archangel which I heard vocals in places they never were with TF10. The imaging and separation is by far superior but the timbre may take some adjusting.
H-100 is simply to advanced technically for the ageing TF10 to compete (IMO) especially being a Hybrid. There's no sub-bass roll off, that's replaced by deep highly detailed bass quality, to many areas, to many areas.
ClieOS was the one who told me he considered it an upgrade and he wasn't joking...not at all.
My TF10 sold on ebay last night...I just don't need them anymore.
Wow, sounds like this maybe it? :D i've been looking for an upgrade over the TF10s going along the line of the TF10 signature. would mainly love to have the midrange boosted slightly and overall technically just equal or better for other aspects. (e.g. soundstage, imaging, etc). and i do find some tracks with cymbals really harsh, unrealistic and sibilant at times on the TF10s (for example Rope by Foo Fighters). i don't know if it is the Fi10s? the mastering of the track? or was it the cymbal crash was meant to sound in that manner?

I've heard both, and I don't think the UM3x is really a linear upgrade for the TF10 the way it would be for, say, Shure SE215. The UM3x is more tonally neutral,mid-focused, not as bright, and actually boasts pretty similar levels of detail as the TF10. The presentation is very different, and I could see why it might seem like an upgrade, but Id say it's barely better from a technical standpoint. The W3 is more detailed than either IMO, and has a signature closer to TF10 than UM3x, but the whole package is not as coherent sounding and fun to listen to as the TF10, the mids are very dry, the treble is very bright and can be piercing, and bass can be overwhelming. Its a more exaggerated, more detailed, colder TF10.post #7643 of 805311/9/12 at 10:51pm- ClieOS

I don't think you will find H-100 lesser bright when compared to TF10, but it does have a little lesser peaks over the sibilance region. I tend to prefer TF10 with foam tips to tame those peaks, but I am okay with H-100 with stock silicone eartips. Overall however, they are still bright sounding for sure. Bass wise, H-100 is better controlled and deeper hitting. TF100 has more upfront female vocal but I think H-100 handle the overall vocal range better. Soundstage wise, I think H-100 is better, but not by much.Quote:Originally Posted by Gilly87

Agreed. I won't call UM3x a direct upgrade over TF10 as well. W3 would have the same V-shaped sound but I personally find it to be overdone (bloated bass and harsh treble) and actually prefer TF10 over it.post #7644 of 805311/10/12 at 1:50amQuote:Originally Posted by ClieOS

i was on Beats 3months ago thinking this gotta be the best there is till i found head-fi. my wallet hates me since. lol. When you suddenly realise Beats were 'cheap' headphones and headphones do cost over $1000, easily... An Ipod is also one of the cheaper dap solutions in the world of headfi...

Yeah I sold the W3 the day after receiving them, but the TF10 has become one of my favorites.post #7647 of 805311/10/12 at 10:40amQuote:Enlightenment! lol. thankfully i had only the Ibeats IEM and didn't venture further into Beats territory.

Why UM3x? I was having lot of hours with modded TF10 (silver cable, sometimes without stock filters and with handmade filters), UM3x has more instrument separation/layering, same bass, better mids, TF10 has much better highs in any condition, Westones has more beautiful presentation, better vocals. I don't mean about huge step, but UM3x sounds better than modded TF10. W3 is another phones, they are sometimes the same/very similar, but it is more like taste, someone loves apples, someone oranges. I love W3 :)

Yeah but the UM3x is a very different phone from the TF10, very different signatures and presentation, so it's not really what's normally considered an "upgrade" for the TF10. The W3 shares the same general signature as the TF10 so it's more like an actual "upgrade" to the TF10, at least from a technical perspective.

Quote:Logitech's support absolutely sucks. Unless you're still under warranty, they have not replacement parts. The outer part of my mold separated and was lost. They have no provision for replacement part and they will not replace a set that's out of warranty. For IEMs that are this expensive, that's inexcusable. Hopefully you're under warranty.
Did you clean the sound canals? If theres some wax buildup on one side or the other, it'll impact output.
