i posted this question in another thread but im guessing it got overlooked.

do the vendors sell stuff at discount prices because its can jam or is it just a regular price on their website?

will the headfi guys have any head fi gear for sale? (shirts/hats) id like to support head fi but i just cant justify spending 7 dollars on shipping for a shirt. i hate spending money on clothes, most my everyday clothes cost 7 bucks.

if you want to support headfi, just become a contributing member.

Based on the precedent that the 1st and 2nd National Meets have set, most of the vendors in attendance are not there to sell their products. Of course, the vendors do have an interest in selling you something (they are after all "hawking their wares" so to speak), but they're there more for you to audition their latest and greatest equipment, instead of buying it or any other products that they make.

At the previous National Meets, there were some new products that were shown off and these did have special Meet pricing. However, for these new products you didn't necessarily have to "buy" them on the spot, you just had to place a formal order for one.

Head-Fiers don't typically go to meets to sell their stuff. But at the previous National Meets, there was a whiteboard in place regardless, in case anyone came that wanted to sell something and they could just write it on the whiteboard.

None of the clothing from the Head-Fi store has been for sale at the previous National Meets so I doubt it'll start with CanJam.

Or to put it another way, the National Meets aren't really an expo. There is an element of that but these are more about meeting the faces behind Head-Fi and getting to audition tons of equipment in one place that you've only read about.

Sponsor may have been a better term to have used.

Hobbyists gone far off the deep end would be another.

HeadRoom won't be selling there, but will probably be handing out discount codes for some bux off if you purchase within a certain time frame after the show. But, truly, it's not really about that, it's about getting hammered with friends.

(Did I just say that out loud.)

what heavenly contraption might these "friends" that you speak of be?

how about a competition? and the person who wins gets a free balanced 650

this is how it will be run. everyone whose name is crappyjones123 and is a match and computer science major and does not have headphones right now and lives in south florida is eligible to enter. from the list of people that enter one person will be randomly picked and shall be the proud winner of a shiny new 650.

Woops, my bad, right you are. No raffles of any kind have ever been associated with the Head-Fi national meet.

Unless that raffle was to benefit an organization like Freedomisnotfree.com and/or the Humane Society.
