ibasso D2 order questions

Hi, I got my ibasso D2. However, there is no receipt attached. Ibasso never emailed any receipt or order confirmation. I cannot check order status from ibasso website. I am wondering how others got the receipt. Also, I heard that there is this high gain and low gain version. How can I tell which version mine is? Thanks.

The high gain versions were only in the first batch. No need to worry if you just got yours recently.

That is good to know. I actually ordered on March 4th, they shipped on 11th and I got it today (missed five delivery attempt).

I used D2 all night using HD580 and im716 and compared to 0404. All I can say is WOW!! D2 blows 0404 away when driving HD580 with computer. It brings my im716 to new life with ZVM. Thanks guys for all the reviews!

i didnt think the 0404 was that "amazing" of am amp, so its pretty hard to compare them.

I am pretty new to hi-fi and read a lots of reviews of how 0404 drives HD580 well. So I got a 0404 at a bargain price. To me 0404 plus HD580 is less than triple fi alone. Now I realize how "average" the 0404 amp is after using D2.

try emu0404usb to d2. its amazing too. the emu0404 usb is known better for its DAC capabilities, not really for the amp section

I will try that. Thanks. So 0404's DAC is equal to or better than D2's?

it depends. emu 0404 dac will reveal more details and better highs while the DAC in the D2 is abit warm and more musical imo

I just tried 0404+D2 vs D2 alone, what you said is very true! I think I will choose which setup to use depending on the different music
