New TTVJ headphone amp!!!

HI All,

We are really excited to announce our new TTVJ Millett 307A headphone amplifier. We have been working on this for some time and now Pete has complete the project. This amp has killer sound and all of the features you would expect form a high end amp. It is both balanced and single ended and works great with any dynamic headphone - even the AKG K1000's!

Todd, that looks like a serious amp, more like a speaker amp, in fact, than a headphone amp with those huge autotransformers on top!

How is this amp selling? With the Balancing Act selling for half the price, do you get many takers? There is only one non-used amp I am tempted to purchase to see if I like it, and that's the BA. If this was priced around $3000-$4000, it would be a lot more competitive with several other amps. Have you thought about making a cheaper version with some less expensive parts?

Actually I'll put the 307A against the Balancing Act anytime. When Pete designed the amp he did so to come up with the ultimate sounding headphone amp that would work with most any headphone ever made. In my opinion he accomplished that with the 307A. AND on top of it all nobody had ever used the 307A for this application until Pete did. Now there are a few who are using the same tubes but they still do not accomplish the sound quality of the 307A.

I would also challenge anyone to check the build quality and compare...

You will not see a cheaper version anytime soon. This is the amp we are going to be selling as the top of the line in the TTVJ/ Millett lineup for a while.

And sales have been good for it. There are not a lot of buyers but we did not expect this to be for everyone. This is a much more exclusive amp for those who want the best sound without compromise.

Are there any detailed reviews out there about a K1000+TTVJ Millett 307A, I could not find any.

Hi Todd,

I haven't been around head-fi in quite a while, but I'm glad to see your business is doing well!

This amp is out of my range, but I remember trying the E.A.R. HP4 a while back with some R10's and absolutely loving it. Have you had a chance to compare it with your millet amp?
