UUUUURRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!! I've got the blues already about not being able to make it to the blues show.

I have to fly out on Saturday evening for some business meetings. My flight leaves Miami at 9pm which I guess means that I'll have to leave the hotel no later than 5pm to fight traffic and get to the airport on time for an international flight. At least I'll be to hang out all day on Friday and half of Saturday.

Oh well. A week in Monaco, France and Italy shouldn't be so bad...

"Warren Haynes isn't qualified to change Eric Culberson's guitar strings."
Thems fighting words!

I have to see this guy so I'm in.

Does anybody have any sample MP3 files I can listen to?

You can hear some of their music here at MySpace:
MySpace.com - The Eric Culberson Blues Band - SAVANNAH, Georgia - Blues / Rock - www.myspace.com/erok3blues

You don't need a MySpace account to access the page or listen.

Thanks, after taking a listen they are not in the same league as Warren Haynes, sorry...

No, they're nothing too amazing or inspired, and I wouldn't want to sit quietly and listen for 3 hours. I assume it'll be more of a club atmosphere for people to eat dinner and hang out with some drinks with a live band playing. Am I right?

I'm sooo jealous of all of you!!! I wish I could attend this year's international meet. It looks like a great event is being organized! Maybe 09...

I have more fun at his shows than at the Gov't Mule shows I've seen. Jp's comment was a running joke we had going with grawk. Warren Haynes is the hardest working guy in music today. He's a great talent but no Derek Trucks.

That's true, Derek's the best man without soul in the music business...

awwwww, thats not fair. i was definitely touched when he came out during space wrangler at panic nye a few years back. heck maybe five years back? they still had george, so it was nice to have a real guitarist on stage.

Derek's got mad skills. He's been a working pro since he was like 12. I saw him in a bar in greensboro nc in 1991. Mad skills. But it's hard to get life when you live your life in a travelling rock band.

My comments were pure over the top hyperbole, Culberson is a great performer and a heck of a player. When you see him I think you'll understand. Personally I was really excited to see that we were able to get him to play the event.

I am in like Flynn, and I'd be willing to change and tune both Derek and Warren's guitar strings.
I'd also change Joe Bonamassa's and Albert Cumming's strings.

This guy...we'll see.
