OK3s: A review... - Page 5

no, the problem is not from the tube. from what i see, it is the design. it won't get sound isolation unless yuin remove the holes surrounded it. Sound go though from the holes into your ear.

I wondered about the tiny holes surrounding the main driver hole too, but someone suggested they don't emanate sound, but are just there for air. I have no idea. If the longer tube doesn't do it, then I will just use them as ear buds only, and since they replaced my PK3s, that's not a problem for me.

To try and remedy it, I grabbed an extra shirt clip I had, and attached it right below the Y joint, and that helped stabilize it a little. But by it's sheer length, it is cumbersome. Again, nothing to do with SQ.
i vastly prefer the Y-cord and like to have the extra length as well.
when i want to pull in the slack, i just wrap the cord around two fingers near the mini jack, and twist-tie it in a nice compact bundle.
it works well for me.

Good low-tech solution. Thanks.

If Yuin is still on schedule, OK series will be on sell later this month or early next month.

That seems to be the case.

I think sticking with super quality earbuds would be yuins best bet. That's what they are known for. They are already a pretty popular earbud to have and now with a new line of earbuds they would do even better. For an IEM I would think people would look to a regular iem.

^I own a pair of pk2's and a very excited about the new lineup. If their IEM's are just as good as (or better than) other popular IEM's, I see no reason that people would not buy them.

True. However, Yuin needs to spend a bit more effort advertising itself outside the audiophile community (well, unless they are trying to be like Grado).

I think I already directly convinced at least 5 persons (not on head-fi) to get a pair Yuin. The poisoning continues...

I think yuin should spend some funds on design instead. I hope to see something very stylish and yet sounds darn good.
