Got my battery cover off in first try Anyways, will iQube manage to drive Edition9 to a respectable level ?
Hi Pangaea, sorry to hear, next time I will put some glue in for you OK? .

And yes Bubbah it will drive the ED9 all right, naturally depending how loud you listen, but it will drive them loud enough as far as most opinions go.

Unable to open my iQube to change the batteries : will I have to trash it after a few hours of use !?
Ok , I successfully managed to open my iQube and am going to tell you the secret . What you need first is a Groove Joint Plier large enough to accomodate an iQube :

... after a few minutes your iQube is badly scratched but open and you are able to insert good Eneloop batteries , that's it !

Actually, you can remove one of the clips diagonal to the side that is without one, with a flat tip screw driver. It still holds together considerably well with just 2 clips on and it makes it a lot easier.
Yes you can remove 1 clip and it will still hold.
Only it might not close real nice, you might see a gap between the lid and the alu housing.

Also the rattling will be more.

Don't know if it has been posted already, but the iQube gets a mention in this article from JazzTimes Magazine:

Please make it more easy to open

Dear Han.

It's the fact that the Iqube cover is very hard to open at first time. But
after you opened it and take some massage on the pin, it will be easier to open for the next time. So, why don't you do it at the factory? This is not a blameing, just a question form your customer.

Hi, no problem, glad you ask

We tried for some time to do this but it is hard to control the exact amount of massage in production, As different people will work on it. Also doing it with your fingers on 1 units is ok, but after 10 your fingers really hurt. So we needed to do it with some equipment.
Doing so we found problems with pins breaking or bending too far and then we get complaints from rattling covers or we found scratched aluminium edges on the sides through the equipment used. Production people are simply not that careful as you or me .

If I would do it all myself it would be no problem to arrange but alas my time is limited and I also have to build cables etc etc.

So we decided to skip it and it leave it to customers them selves.

Sorry, the idea is/was good but too hard to implement.

Rgds Hans.

Dear Han.

Thank you for your answer, i understand in what you say and from
hundreds of question you answered above let me know that you understand your customer felling. For massageing the pin i recommend you to use the ruller that stick at the of pensil. it's work very well.
