I was going to go out and buy some Bose QC2s today but thank god i stumbled across this site. From what I understand Bose is pretty much ****. Then I was going to go for a set of Grado SR 125, but I need the noise reduction. I am on a bus for road trips a lot because I play college baseball and need something to drown out the ambient noise. I really have not clue what to get. I think Beyer and Sennheiser are pretty good companies from what I've read thus far. I have spent a pretty good amount of time reading today, but figured I'd just ask. What is the best set of noise reduction headphones I can get in the $200-300. If I can get a really quality set for cheaper I'd be game for that, but I am willing to spend the $300. I am totally new to this and I thought Bose made a good product, so I cannot wait to hear what a good company makes.
Also, mainly I listen to folk like Bob Dylan and Nick Drake, or classic rock like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and the Who. I've noticed in some other threads that that makes a difference sometimes.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.
