We can dream about a true L/O on the D2, but the faux L/O @ vol49 works well IMO, the D2 is clean enough to pull it off without too many problems (with the main one being its superbly tiny soundstage).

One thing to look out for is the advent of Rockbox on the D2. Hopefully the Crossfeed implementation would solve/eliminate this problem.

indeed. would be wonderful. but rockbox on any player that does not support it would be wonderful. well, im quite happy without it on the ipod as it has got the wonderful gapless but... arg... that was a bummer on the (haha, i said bummer!) d2

*snaps* Agh! Totally forgot about that.

Gapless is another issue that Rockbox would add for the D2. All the more to look forward to it, so those 'jitters' won't exist on me New Age and World music albums.
