I have a 4th gen 60GB iMod Photo with a brand new iPod Juice extended life battery 1200mah installed. There is however an issue with it. You may ask Vinnie about this to determine that it is legitimate. Just mention my name and the iMod situation (try not to swamp him with e-mails
).
Recently, the hard drive has failed on me. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I ran the HDD diagnostic test, and the hard drive failed it. Vinnie initially thought that it was a battery problem, hence why he installed the new iPod Juice battery. Since he missed the problem the first time, he has offered me a second mod at no charge. The hard drive still boots up and music plays (both Rockbox and iPod software). The problem is that my computer cannot recognize it, and a few tests I have run have shown bad sectors on the hard drive.
Essentially, the iMod needs a new hard drive and it will be up and running. This is under lifetime warranty with Vinnie (as are all iMods), so just send a hard drive over to him unless you prefer to install it yourself. Comes with a brand new battery installed, and everything else is intact.
Altogether I have spent around 425 on it. I am looking to get $225 for it.
If you have any questions, let me know. I have feedback on eBay, purchases I have made from the Larrivee forum as well as from AV123 to back up my credibility.
Keep in mind that the mod alone cost $250 sans iPod. So this is a great deal for someone who is looking to get an iMod for cheap.
Cheers,
Raphael
