This simple point, and regardless of the sound quality, make those cables completelly unpractical, and very prone, in case you can find a way to use them, to disconnection, unless locking, in which case, they will destroy the poor jack, as the stiffness will be simply ridiculous...

Cables are going the insanity route...IMO....
I agree with you and I disagree with you. Cables should certainly be practical and Virtual Dynamics' cables are a pain-in-the-butt to bend and manipulate, but they reveal more of the music and have greater dynamics than any other manufacturer's cable I've ever listened to. So it's a trade off.

Be careful, that road most certainly goes two ways !

I speak again from expirience.

Think of what you could kill just with the cable alone.

Alright, maybe I'm a little morbid, but you have to admit that this cable could crush the skulls of quite a few mammals.

that cable pushes the limits of the absurd.

16lbs.....how many sources actually weigh that much?

Not too many. Unless you're talking about a transport/source combo. Those things (such as some of the Wadia pieces) can get over 40 lbs.

Hell, my amp only weighs about 11 pounds. But the Power 3 (on my amp weighs about 8 (maybe more) and the Master LE 2.0 power cord (on my PC) almost as much. The Master LE 2.0 digital cable weighs about 3 pounds (on amp). You have to keep the power cords balanced on something so they don't strain the equipment.

You can always spend another $160 and get lots of these:

It might help if your listening room was in a static free hermetically sealed vacuum farraday cage.

You would still need RFI and EMI protection. But, of course that could always be accomplished by using the "cone of silence" :

Wow! I don't question that is sounds great. But it certainly looks over-engineered.

Ok, I was just advised that I had mislabeled this cable. Please go back and re-read the first post to find out what it really is.
