If I may divert for a second, has anyone used one of these? If so..what was the result?

This person is selling a speaker rig with one of them, you could send him a PM.

As there will be no fuses on the output of the unit, I'm not worried about blowing fuses. I was worried about the transformer being overloaded, though I'm not sure that even could really be an issue. I'm still considering a slow-start circuit, but I can always install one later. For now, it'll be straight wires.

So on to question #2 - the output configuration. The transformer has 5 4A secondaries and I have 4 outlets to wire.

Config 1: 3 outlets at 4A dedicated each, 1 outlet at 8A dedicated
Or
Config 2: 2 outlets sharing 4A, 1 outlets at 4A dedicated, 1 outlet at 12A dedicated

12A dedicated sounds like a fun idea for a monster power amp. I'm unlikely to pull over 4A from the 4 shared outlets if I use them for lower power components like a DAC and other smaller amps. On the other hand, having 4 dedicated power outlets without any splitting is also very cool.

Of course I can change the wiring for this as needed, but I'm deciding on what to engrave into the chassis. Maybe I'll just leave it at "High Current" vs "Low Current" or simply don't engrave the outlets at all.

That's why I was asking.

Yes, I have compared this to other conditioners. They will offer an improvement over what you are typically getting directly from the wall. But in comparison to properly implemented balancing conditioners, ones that have a groundable shield between primaries and secondaries, if based upon a toroidal transformer, you'll find they perform poorly. An Audience Adept 1rp, or other competently designed cmc based conditioner performs far better. Ignoring this critical feature results in folks spending far to much money for poor performance, as illustrated by Fallen Angel's incorrect choice of transformer and its inevitable poor performance.
