Knight Rider

Anyone else catch the new Knight Rider? I found it to be pretty bad myself. Terrible acting, horrible cgi, even a beautiful woman, cool car, and a guest appearance by The Hoff couldn't save this one!

Since its not really a 'movie' so much as a pilot for the new show, I wasn't holding it upto movie standards myself. But yes, it was pretty dull. And why didn't they get William Daniels to do the voice? he's still alive.

Did Pontiac/GM run out of money or what? A mustang?!?!

I was wondering about the choice of a Mustang myself. I mean, after a 5 year gap from the last Camaro/Firebird/Trans-Am, you would think that the BRAND NEW model would be high on the list for use as KIT.

Then again, it's not a Trans-Am... and I suppose we did already see the new Camaro in Transformers. And the Mustang is way cooler than GM's throwback anyway (with the new Challenger trumping them both, IMO)...

But back to the OP, no, didn't see it. Made sure of that.

It's stupid and very corny, but IMO it's still better than all the "reality" TV that the networks are spewing out these days.

To be fair, almost anything else would be better than all of that...

I started watching it, got through about an hour and decided to just let it go. Like Bionic Woman, it held my interest for a little while, and then just sank into the background.

There's no substitute for the original:

I was a huge fan of the original series when I was a kid. I used to watch some of my favourite episodes over and over again. And now this!!! Its an insult and a disgrace. I dont even want to watch the show for I might get so upset that I go on a rampage and randomly destroy stuff.....ah well....

x2 x10000000000 infact "There's no substitute for the original"

It was entertainingly bad. I didn't even understand some of the lines.

Wimpy guy: "I don't want to run... course I don't want to die either... but I really don't want to run." Errr you really don't want to run more than dying?

And was David Hasselhoff actually on the set for that funeral scene or was it a cardboard cut-out?

"I've never seen algorithms this complex." I'm not sure I've heard a script less so.

I havent seen the original, but the new one wasnt that bad.

I have seen worse come out of NBC.

Have no interest in watching it. Glad the TA was dumped for a Mustang though.

Car was pretty interesting looking, and the girl was pretty hawt . . . not much other than that. Even the hot girl couldn't keep me watching for more than 45 min.
