Yup, one's in phase and one's out of phase. Although IIRC one of the 1/4" connections has L and R reversed. Not a big deal, you'll only notice it if you know which information should be coming out of which channel for a given recording. Also, you can use either the single-ended or balanced inputs for the SE outputs. The inputs are the 4, left most connections if you were looking at the back panel (2 balanced, 2 SE)

The middle male XLR and RCA's are preamp outputs.

I got my DAC in the mail and been really putting it through its paces to get as much burn in as possible for Can jam...

Im bringing pretty much everything listed in my sig. Including the Zhaolu/upgraded and the Enigma Audio "The Oracle" cable for the HD580/600/650s.

At this point, I have no idea what gear I am bringing. UE-10 for the trip down and iWhatevers, but in terms of real gear, I just don't know how I want to pack it. I've been looking for a good, but inexpensive protective bag for the HR stuff and maybe the DAC1, but haven't come across any good solutions and shipping is too much of a PITA for me.

when i was shipping my stuff down home, i got strips of styrofoam from best buy/circuit city that they were throwing out from the boxes that people return. after 4 years of broken crap reaching home i realised that styrofoam > packing peanuts for packing stuff.

Not with the price of gas. Also, door to door Mapquest says it's 1526 miles which puts it just slightly out of "weekend road trip" range.
