I simply LOVE my APureSound V3 Senns cable. I use it with my HD580 and it is just amazing. I never thought cables could make such a huge difference before I tried Alex's cables. Yeah they cost a bit much, but totally worth it! I heard a few other Sennheiser cables and none of them impressed me as much as APureSound V3. I am sure you will love it.

Come to the NYC Spring meet and hear both!

cable is the last thing you should upgrade. make sure your source and amp will not bottleneck the cable performance

Basically, a cable upgrade will provide, by far, the least improvement for the money (if any). Glancing at your signature, you should probably concentrate on getting a better source and amp. Those will definitely give you a sonic improvement. A different cable probably won't at any point, but certainly won't coming from an iPod and a portable amp.

I support Alex 100%, but, look at my sources.

Source First
1. source
2. amp
3. headphones

4. cables, power, isolation and tweaks

Yep to all of the above who recommend upgrading source and amp first.

As to not having any gear to bring to a meet, don't worry about it at all. Bring your ears, and you'll have plenty to listen to as well as getting the chance to hang out with great people.
