If any of you are in the KC area, there is a great place to get cables cheap: the Surplus Exchange. It's in the west bottoms, on Santa Fe, which is a very short street which runs just south of Woodsweather Road, and [sort of] ends under the Interstate viaduct which runs between Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas. This is just south of the river, and look for the pumping station, it's just south of that.
I went there today, and picked up a UPC power cord [$1], an S-Video cable [$1], and a stereo mini-to-mini cable [$1], which I am going to use to repair my Signet headphones.
