I dont' really know much about building anything, but I do have a lot of supplies at work. I have the following at work and would like to know if you guys think its easy enough for me to build some quality interconnect cables. They'd be going between my DAP (samsung YP-T9) and Ibasso D2 amp/dac when it gets here 
I'm guessing this is mini to mini (excuse the noobness)
Supplies:
Solder
Heat gun
Shrink wrap
14 and 16 AWG copper wire insulated with PVC
Pure silver wire
Some pins but I'm not sure what size and material they are, they're just not shaped like the ones I see for headphones, they're just small straight rod-like pins. & housing for pins.
If it helps we use kind of stuff to build small volumetric ECG probes
