I bought these puppies just before Christmas and they have been a revelation. I can't tell you how much they suit my listening tastes. I love close listening with lots of treble and tight...

First of all let me say this is one of my favourite BA driver earphones I have ever heard. That said, being a basshead, these didn't deliver in the bass department - I can't deny the fact...

I've had this card for quite a while now, and I have to say its a really nice card - a huge step-up to my on-board motherboard's audio. At first I do have to admit, it didn't feel like the D1...

I've made a couple, one with the resistors in the middle of the small extension, and then this one with the resistors integrated into the plug. It looks neater and avoids another solder point. I also want to make one that's just a short adapter, no cable. That's my next project.
This one's a 22 ohm adapter, just enough resistance to silence the hiss found on nearly all DAPs using sensitive iems.

Happy soldering!

If you'd like to read up on there, the balun Wiki is a good place to start:

You can also find a lot of material on calculating and building these from the ARRL, RSGB, and various amateur radio sites.
