PK1 or 2 for unamped CLIX?

I'm looking for a non isolating hassle free bud to accompany my insanely isolating and rather hasslefull ER-4Ps. Do any of you know if the clix2 is powerful enough to support the PK1, or should I go with the PK2? Oh, and will the SQ be comparable to my etymotics? Hopefully it won't be too much of a downgrade considering the price.

Thanks!

I don't know, but my Livewires are awesome with my Clix2.

PK2 or PK3, not PK1.

X2, the PK1 is to demanding for the Clix unamped, but if you consider an amp in the future, then the PK1, they sound wonderful unamped too, but the price is the double of the PK2

PK1 can be driven unamped by clix2, but won't reach its full potential until amped.

I agree (about the PK1s sounding decent without an amp using certain DAPs. For example, I recently found the PK1 delivers enough volume and decent SQ with the Sony A816). But when I said that on another thread, someone called the unamped PK1s flat and dull. I disagree, but the amp really does make them sound wonderful, as opposed to pretty good. In fact, I believe the PK3s are actually a better value than the PK2s (I sold off the latter). But sure others disagree.

I haven't try Clix 2.
But T39 is the best player I found that can drive PK1 unamp so far. It drives 90% of Pk1.

I have T39 + PK1 unamp. Average volume is about 20 out of 40.
Even at low volume like 12-15, you can still clearly hear the sound without distortion.

My U3 claim to be 60mW and I need to use volume 35 out of 40 to drive PK1. Volume 30 or below on U3 I hear distortion.

I found to test if the player can drive PK1, just low the volume and see if you can hear it clearly.

I would said, if a player that can fully drive PK1, the average volume should be around 12 out of 40.

It doesn't seem like the clix could handle it, because I have the volume up passed halfway with my etymotics.

Anyway, can someone point me in the direction of cheap PK-3s I would definitely jump on them for the $25 price that Ive seen floating around.

Thanks!

Something wrong with the PK-2s? Sound signature is closer to the PK-1 than the PK-3 and can be driven by a DAP.
