Lets mod an asus EEE pc Head-fi style - Page 2

The uDac looks to be about the same size as a Bantam or a Grub. Having done the USB hub / bluetooth / internal USB ports mods to an EeePC, I definitely think you could fit the Bantam/Grub in there. Of course, mine was an older model (4G) and it had that empty minipci slot which was a perfect place to put things.

I have that model as well. The EEE 701 4G. I upgraded the ram to 2gb and overclocked the cpu. I haven't seen anyone so far that succesfully modded the eee with a small DAC. uDAC would be great though. I have one coming in soon so I'm going to experiment! Also, I'm looking at that Bantam DAC you mentioned and that one definitely looks like it'll fit. No idea how to assemble one though. Research continues!

Solder, a steady hand, patience, and prayer.
