Why?


It's the original mix and sounds as Brubeck intended. It has more punch and IMHO, sounds better overall unless you remaster the stereo.

I recently got At Carnegie Hall and concur with previous recommendations. Easy to listen to and well recorded. I'm in two minds about the audience interjections though. My misgiving is that they mask some of the detail at the end of solos and the like. I want to hear every note! On the other hand, if it were a studio recording, the atmosphere wouldn't be the same and we would have been deprived of the few quips.

If you like Time Out and Time Further Out you might like some of Mingus' albums like Mingus Ah Um.
