Decent speakers / amp for casual listening, movies, video games

So in the process of moving, one of my beloved, almost 7 year old speakers for my Sony minisystem got a hole in the tweeter. I figure that's it for the speakers, and I don't know how to replace cones (and this unit is so old, I doubt they still have spare parts for it) so I figure this might be a good opportunity to buy new speakers or a new minisystem.

So I'd primarily be using this for casual listening (hooking my Creative Zen Vision: M up to it) video games, and movies. I'd like the sound to be clear, and bass to be decent but not muddy or overpowering.

Anyone got any suggestions for new speakers or a new minisystem? I was considering getting a pair of M-Audio BX5As - I like the sound pretty well, and they seem fairly hardly. And since I rarely play CDs or listen to the radio, I figure it wouldn't matter that I don't have an amp and CD player.

Anyone else have any input on this?

I'm slightly biased, but I might recommend RadioShack's Presidian Speakers. I havn't heard anything anywhere near them for the price - $15. Here's my thoughts on them - http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f21/ra...17/index5.html

I'm considering a Sony LBT-ZX6. Anyone know anything about this unit?
