Need advise on non-upgrade 650 cables

I need a shorter cable for my senheiser hd-650. It does not have to be an upgrade; I just need a shorter cable around 1 m. I like the sound as my rig is now and I do not want to spend 500$ on cables, I need a cheap cable at the same quality level as the stock cables.

Can I get my stock cables reterminate, or would it ruin the cable?

I use a shortened & re-terminated HD-650 cable on my HD-25. No problem.
