Should i or shouldnt i??? *Creative Zen Aurvana*

I believe there are better options such as im 716, djays(or was it qjays), maybe low end freqs, super.fi 5s, more too, search $100 iem I believe youll get several topics on the issue

You can get better value with a metro.fi or super.fi.

sadly to say, i have 6 pairs or so ^^; (btw you're talkinga bout the IEM, right? and not the full sized cans?)

I treat my earphones with extreme care; all of them, including the aurvana's, but they only have a life span of 6 months MAX; i've literally gone through 3 pairs in the past year

DEFINITELY not worth it; don't ask why i bought so many, s'jus that I have easy access to em; i usually only buy retail for 95% of all my earphones, and i live in canada, so the aurvana's and the se210's are the best i can find out of my local best buy

in terms of durability, as mentioned, they're horrible, the cable's abit short, and although it uses an oxygen-free copper cable like most other high-end IEMS, these are abit weird; they become extremely stiff when exposed to cold tempteratures

The isolation is quite good, though not as good as Shures or the im716 for example

In terms of sound quality, the highs are quite harsh, the bass pretti loud in comparison with the e4c's but is more balanced with the mids and is definitely noticable, and the mids are pretti good

overall, i'd say just go for something else; u can definitely get something better for less than the price of the aurvanas

D-jays are the lower end versions, Q-Jays are the dual armature $180 ones that're insanely small; if the SF5's are in ur budget, i'd say go for em; and no1's tried the low-end FreQ's so im not exactli shure how the bass would sound for your type of music
If you're a bass-head, try going for the Sony MDR-EX90's; they're definitely in yur budget, as u can probably find them for 60-80, and since it uses neodymium drivers as opposed to armature, the bass is very very loud but abit bloated, and the isolation isn't as good

Please stay away from the Aurvana. They're are much better phones out there for the money. I would also stay away from the Super.fi 3 if you want bass. They have a singel armature which leaves the bass very thin IMHO. I would suggest the Metro.if 2. They do nto have to be worn over the ear, are much smaller, and extremely durable. $58.00 shipped.

If you can stretch your budget (sorry for your wallet), the Denon C700 are an amazing canal phone. I know it;s hard to send that much on your first phone, but it's worth every penny. $141.37 shipped:

The creative aurvana iem sounds really bad, they lack bass, extremely lacking depth and the mid/vocal is very recessive. the high sounds tin. Don't buy, buy the creative ep-830 instead, save money and 100X better sounding.

I talked to a creative customer support today, he/she said the aurvana is based on a dual balanced armature support. either that my ear is screwed up or that the low frequency driver is broken. The bass is slim to none. When i plug the earphone into my computer and turn the bass up, the bass becomes distorted, but the high was still there. I remember reading trustedreviews and they said that they got a faulty pair at first and the sounds is very distorted, but after receiving another pair, it sounds very good in there opinion. I just think my EP-630 sounds much better with deep bass and a much better sound stage. not to mention comparing it to my sennheiser IE7, which would be a joke.
