I bought one of those Markertek mini to mini cables, and I need it primarily for recording songs on to minidisks. Since I would obviously like to have the cable burned in before I record the disks, I need an easy way to do it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

burn-in for a cable?!

the only thing that could happen is that the conductor will oxidize. but, that requires exposure to O2.

where have you heard of such a thing?

cables, power, etc.? nope.

burn in for cans? yeah, i could imagine that that would make a difference. burn in for amps? sure, perhaps some diffusion is still occurring in the substrate.

but, it is hard for me to envision how burn in would change the resistivity of the cable. (hence my incredulous post)
