Not to worry, the flanges are a lot more comfortable than they look (vicious-looking, aren't they?). I've had no issues with comfort with them, however. Far more comfortable than the Super.fi's, I can guarantee you that.

They come with foamies, small & larger. Also many tips can fit: comply,Shure olive,Etymotic foamies, some silicone tips etc...

With the correct tip they are very comfy and isolate very well. The trick is the isolation. As long as it's not adequate you always wonder, then when you have the correct fit you just know what their sound is. Also getting familiar with their sound signature...like with any IEM or headphone.

If you want to stay in your budget then I would suggest teh Metro.fi 2 over the Super.fi 3. They have a much better low end for rock music. The Super.fi 3's single armature simply lacks impact.

UE Metro.fi 2

If you are considering the Atrio's price, then do some research and look into the Denon C700.

Denon AH-C700
