why are you using an amplifier with the headphone out?
especially when the Sansa E-series do not sound so good..

How do those iGrado's sound? I know the ultrasone iCans don't sund that great.

Oh wow, couldn't disagree more. I love the iCans, one of the most under appreciated portable cans out there. I have both iCans & iGrados and the iCans are much better. I love Grados too. But the iCans are a lot more $ than the iGrados, I will say that.

how do you mean the iCans are better? I have no experience with both, jst what I've heard on the net.

Could you further explain please? thanks!

When you say the e-series does not sound good I'm understanding you to mean the e-series in general. I disagree. Don't believe everthing you read, try it yourself.

There is no option for a line-out with Sansa. IMO the amp improves the sound when using the headphone-out.

I've had the iGrados for about 2 weeks. I like them more than my Shure se310's. I've never listened to the iCans.

yeah, I know... the most common thing to say.
My bad.

I should've known better.

So I didn't heard either one but would like to know how their sound signature is.

I have an e270 with rockbox and it can't handle the bass enough...

Here's my latest setup:

iPod --> Custom Cable --> Corda Move --> Atrio M5

iPod --> Female LOD --> Custom Cable --> Corda Move --> Atrio M5

I just made that cable, though it's nothing special. The tips on my Atrio M5s are the stock small b-flange with the largest flange folded over on itself and the medium tips from my EP-630s slid on.

Ah... I see. I was going to ask what you did to your Atrio tips... maybe I should try that

I almost died on the way to Best Buy to get my Clip, but it was worth it so far.

It's hard to imagine a setup this small could sound so good.
