I don't get it, we try to do something nice, give people a chance to win some prizes, and we get a bunch of negativity in this thread.
And yes, everyone should be proud of what they did. It wasn't easy for us to decide and felt that narrowing it down to a smaller group of entries from which the members could choose was going to be easier than letting the members choose from all the entries.

I wasn't sure whether I should post this publicaly, but I decided to do so, in hopes of grabbing more attention this way.
I understand that it strikes you as odd, that we're so negative. But for you guys, some constructive criticism should be valuable as well. I think I speak for several, if not most, of the designers, to say that we're shocked to see what made it to the final eight. I won't get into details, either, I don't believe such a thing is appropiate. And yes, I am aware of the fact one of my entries made it. But, even though one of mine made it, it wasn't my best one to begin with. And some of these entries don't have the effort put into them, nor the quality, that some of the logos in the previous thread had.
Then, adding the fact that the closing time of the poll
is was wrong, I think this is enough to restart and reconsider the poll. Some of these logos are made in paint, of all things. I believe that the artists should be allowed to vote, of course not for their own designs, before everything goes public. That way, the people who have 'expertise' in designing logos can judge others on their work. The top eight (Or six) should then go to a public poll, and we can start over. Does that sound more reasonable?
