I've heard about this, I googled it and I couldn't find anything about it, what is it?

It's when you remove the paper filter from the nozzle and replace it with a cube of foam. The result is better bass and highs. There's details in the JVC Marshmallow FX33 thread.

better mids too, helps the harsh irritating peaks in upper mids
