Klipsch at CanJam

Thread Starter
I am trying to round up the interests at Klipsch to attend CanJam in Ft Lauderdale this spring. If we attend, what kind of things would you like to see and hear besides our headphones? Any particular set ups for amps or demos? What products would you like us to compare with ours? How many people are interested in having us come to the event or would it be better if we sponsored an event in the summer at our company laboratory?

I would love to hear your thoughts....

Come to CanJam! This is a great event and it wouldn't be the same without Klipsch. I wouldn't mind hearing some of your speakers. We have a local audio store that will have a room with speakers. I'm pretty sure we could make some room for some Klipsch Heresys. I heard an older pair last weekend at the Mayberry on Acid Meet paired with a Moth 300b Paradigm and it was great.

Come to CanJam!

And bring your little Hav's! Even if my MoMo can't make it.

I for one think it'd be cool if Klipsch bought out a room for a speaker-array demo! Ok I know CanJam is about headphone audio, but come on, Klipsch is all about the speakers!

I agree with this since many around here move into speaker at some time and back...

I would think that a wide range of your products (not just the headphones) would appeal to the Head-Fi crowd. If you're looking for suggestions of what to bring in addition to the headphones I'd suggest items from both the Ipod speaker line and also the computer speaker segment at a minimum. And as suggested by others, most of us with headphone rigs also have a speaker rig of some sort. Whether that's HT, 2-channel or both we don't limit our insanity to headphones.

And I'd certainly love to see Klipsch there regardless of what they bring. More choices is always better in my book.

If Klipsch wants to bring speakers, I will find a way to accomodate them. Computer speakers is a great idea, in particular with the interest in computer as a souce and office rigs.

Yes, we definitely need and want Klipsch at CanJam '08. Any and all gear you would like to show will be welcome. As others have already mentioned, many of us are also into or interested in speakers, and the electronice from your other lines would be great to se as well.

Thanks for making the effort. Hopefully the powers that be at Klipsch will agree that CanJam is the place to be.

You know, thinking about this something just occurred to me. CanJam has to be about one of the better bargains for audio companies. You guys (the organizing committee) probably don't charge anywhere near what the big conventions do for floor space and while the foot traffic isn't what CES would generate the press coverage in past years has been pretty phenomenal. Being there just about guarantees a mention in Stereophile, Positive Feedback, and many others.

Bring a decent amount headphones, including your upper end Image and Custom3's. So that there isn't too much of a wait for those lining up to have a listen.

I really hope that Klipsch finds a way to make it there. Obviously your new line if IEMs would be a hit a the show as many people are interested in hearing them but more intriguing to me is the natural evolution from headphones to speakers that many in this community make. Some of the headphone amps we use push 1-10 watts and would work nicely with your speaker line up.
I look forward to meeting you guys at canjam 08.

Hey, those were MY Heresys! Circa 1979 or so. My older brother got them new in college and I have had them for many years since he moved and stupidly did not want to haul them with him! I have never heard them sound better than with Western Electric 300Bs feeding them.

Anyway, of course Klipsch has to come to CanJam! Don't be silly. You are entering the headphone market in a big way and this is quite simply the biggest and broadest headphone community in the world. Amazing amount of press coverage and when Koss joined us last year that made a big splash even though Sennheiser and Shure and Grado and many others had all been at the first national/international meet. You are sponsoring Head-Fi -- Premier, no less -- for a reason and this meet is a HUGE bang for your buck.

So, now that we have it settled that you will attend, we need to see you full headphone lineup with some computer speakers and full size speakers too if you decide on a room instead of or in addition to a table in the main room (no speakers there). There are younger members who are on the headphone-only end of the audio spectrum, but the majority of active members are into 2-ch and multi-ch audio as well. We will be thrilled to have you there whatever you bring.

See you in May! And don't forget the Custom 3s!

I agree with this assessment. Klipsch is obviously one of very few companies, if not the only one out there, that can take a customer from cradle to grave in terms of meeting their audiophile needs.

This should be an excellent opportunity to showcase your company's ability to evolve with the customer as his or her needs become more demanding, or to meet the multiple system needs of true audio nuts who have been in the hobby for a while!

I'll be looking forward to visiting your room and doing some demos!
