31-band Equalizer?

Does anyone know of a media player program or plugin with a 31-band equalizer? I prefer Foobar2000 or Windows Media Player.

Here are couple of them ... all VST's

KarmaFX - VST Plugins
AiXcoustic Creations: Electri-Q (posihfopit)
Christian’s Blog » VST Plugins
REAPER | ReaPlugs
habib.webhost.pl
VST plugins [slim slow slider presents]

Hmm... I forgot to mention that you can use these with Foobar (through foo_dsp_vst or what plug-in it was?) and the ElectriQ posihfopit edition for winamp works with winamp right away.

How do you use VST plugins like KarmaFX with foobar? I would like to try it as well.

foo_dsp_vst - Hydrogenaudio Forums
Once installed you can use any VST plugin that are ".dll".

Another (better IMO) version of foobar VST host. More info here.

Yeah, that's a really good one. Works perfect!

I've been a long time user of Yhong's VST bridge, and while it did perform quite well in the past, it did introduce some stability issues with foobar2000, and just like foo_dsp_vst, both have been flagged as unstable components, therefore not recommended by any official channels.

Recently, a new VST bridge has been in development and, in my opinion, brings to foobar2000 the integrated usage of VSTs that has been long overdue.

You can find it here (discussion thread as well): http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=84947

As for EQs, all sorts of quality ones can be found through VSTs, your CPU is the limit wink.gif

Is there any way to run VST plugins system-wide so you could use them for whatever you're doing with the comp such as gaming too?

Still looking for something like a bridge that would work straight from the system's output, but haven't found anything yet frown.gif

AFAIK, VAC + ASIO/VST Host software is the way to go ATM.

VAC - http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm

VSTHost - http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm

or

EnergtXT 1.x - http://www.xt-hq.com/download/

or similiar.

Are you sure VAC works for system outputs? I remember it just extending ASIO4ALL back in the day.

Yes I am since I have done that many times (VAC + VSTHost).

Just set the VAC cable n as preferred output device in systen audio properties, then take the cable n as (MME?) input source on ASIO/VST Hosting software and then output from there through ASIO. Every software needs to be set to use preferred output device (i.e. VAC).

So it doesn't really work as RPGWiZaRD and I were looking for, a way to set a VST straight on the system output. The method VAC uses is both cumbersome and heavy on resources/latency.

Guess I'll have to keep searching...

Now, VST support out of the box would be an amazing thing for Windows 8 to have biggrin.gif
