Well I am keeping my Cambridge Azur 840C so the Eastsound does not have a place currently. Since it is too good a player to sit around I am offereing it up for sale. You can see what mods (Zapfilter and PSU, Clock Upgrade, Hexfred Diodes) were done HERE by the original owner, Head-Fi User DigiPete. This is not your stock sounding E5, I did a side-by-side comparison in my system of the E5 and my then current player, a Meridian G08 and I ended up selling the Meridian. I am looking for $700 shipped anywhere in CONUS with payment by PayPal. For a local sale I can knock some dollars off of the shipping since this is a remarkably heavy unit.

Also willing to work a trade deal for:

Headroom Desktop Maxxed (MAX module, MAX DAC, Stepped Attenuator, DPS)
Apogee Mini-Dac
Benchmark DAC1 w or w/o USB
Stello DA100 Signature

I have had some questions on the mods (as per Digipete):

a. LCAudio X03 ultra low jitter clock;

b. LCAudio Zapfilter MK II fully discrete, true balanced high performance output stage, takes the balanced signal straight off the DAC, uses top quality components (no op amps or caps in the signal path). Includes a dedicated high performance power supply with toroidal tranfsormer.

c. Fairchild Stealth hexfred diodes in the digital PSU. Analog PSU disconnected, Zapfilter has its own high performance PSU.

The caps in the PSU are actually very good (3300uf Elna Silmic II with bypassing caps) so I did not replace them.
