1. Audio Technica AD700 - 100$
Amazon.com: Full-size Open-air Dynamic Headphones: ANTOnline
2. Equation Rp-21 - 80$
Equation RP-21 Stereo Headphones
3. Beyerdynamic DTX 800 - 90$
Amazon.com: beyerdynamic DTX 800 Trendline Headphones: Musical Instruments
4. Sennheiser Hd555 - 89$
Sennheiser HD555 professional stereo headphone Retail at ZipZoomfly

Anything else ?

Are you sure that an X-FI s.c is enough for reproducing good surround effect ?
Because I saw suggestions of Sennheiser DSP pro or a 5.1 adapter to be coupled with good stereo cans.

Now I have in mind the Jbl Creature II and the Altec Lansing VS2421 (and I also consider paying some more and getting a Logitech Z4).
As for a sound card I think I can get a second hand X-FI XTREMEGAMER fata1ity.
Have you forgotten about me ?

I believe this would be the best route.

ATH A500 do not need to be amp, which I think the dt 770's do. But thats IMO.

Get a Chaintech AV-710(soundcard), new or used, should be under 25.
Best price for a new A500 would be audiocubes: AudioCubes.com - Audio-Technica ATH-A500 Art Headphones - ATH-A500 -

I might be selling mine for 70 shipped. But really Ive had this headphone for almost a year, and it sounds great, gaming is fun (played 1.6 for about 2 years) never let me down. Really comfortable headphone.

Anyways if you go new for both prolly be around 120$, if you can find any used should be under 100. Goodluck

Did you see that I found a A700 for the same price as the A500 you linked here ?
I suppose they're a better choice, right ?

And where can I get the chaintech ?
(I can get a used X-FI fata1ity for about 70$)

for gaming buy the X-Fi because of EAX 5.0

70$ for the Fatal1ty seems to be a good price, if you want to save some money look for the Xtreme Music, the X-Ram of the Fatal1ty has pretty much zero benefit

I really liked the Auzentech X-FI Prelude 7.1 but it is very expensive, has anyone seen it selling for a low price (I mean a used one) ?

So what should be my final choice of headphones between the 4 options ? (or maybe they're some more options ?)

I don't think that the senn's are good for gaming - the veil covers too much.

You want soundstage and bass - hard to acheive both. I have heard that the RP-21 does a good job unamped. Personally - I switch around between a few sets, but always use the same USB mic when I do play or converse via VOIP. Pick the mic up on ebay - rp-21 where you can. May I suggest putting up a WTB add in the forums? Prices and people tend to be just so much better to deal with.

I recommend the Klipsh Promedia 2.1. Try ebay and get something second hand... I think the newer promedia ultra or whatever isn't as good.

To my memory they are quite heavy so their shipping will cost a lot (what about the models I've mentioned ?)

So I understand that the HD555 aren't a very good choice for me and the equation RP-21 are recommended (are the RP-22X worth the extra 10-15$ ?), how they compare to the AD700 and the beyer DTX 800/900 or the DT 440 ?
