SOLD: JVC flagship DAP, the XA-HD500

I love to try different DAPs and review them. I've had a Rio Karma, a Creative Muvo, two Kenwood and this JVC. The JVC has been the DAP which lasted longest to me (meaning I sold the others after having kept each for a couple of months). I've been using the JVC since last July and loved it's interface, the best along Rio Karma's, and top notch sound quality (better than Kenwood HD20GA7 and HD10GB7). The best achievement in sound quality are a liquid sound signature, impressive clarity and level of detail, and great sense of soundstage.
In the past I tried to sell it a couple of times to try new toys, but always withdrew it because I couldn't find any other DAPs as appealing as this little genius.

Now things are changing: I'm intrigued by the V-cap iMod and am ready to spend big money for it, and if I have to give up my JVC mate to gather some funds, so be it.

You can find some reviews of the JVC in this link ( http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f15/re...mpared-254557/ ), where I described all DAPs I've had and ranked them all.
The JVC XA-HD500 can only be found imported from Japan for ~280$. I'm looking for SOLD!$ shipped everywhere. Buyer should add paypal fees but eating them myself won't be a big deal.

UPDATE: I'm willing to trade it for Shure SE420 or Xin Supermini IV (with latest upgrades).

Thanks for looking and good luck,
Tony

Hey honeybunch - you've had it since July, so this seems very much like the 7-month itch!! And 7 months is a LONG time for you to hold onto something, so it must be good!!

Sorry I don't have the will to look it up, but what exactly are we talking about here?

What is the hard drive capacity?

Battery life?

Does it play mp3 files or some encoded JVC stuff?

Does it have a line out?

It's a 6gb capacity (micro-hard drive) audiophile mp3 player. It can play mp3, wma and wma-drm10 (protected by copyrights). I use it with V0 or 320kbs mp3 and it tipically holds 700. Battery life is around 20 hours, and it has a very clean and powerful lineout (via external cradle). From what I understand the player itself behave as a lineout at full volume (zero gain).

Hmm... I got your PM, I don't think my reply via PM was sent. I'll just post it here.

Would you accept an e-Check if I don't immediately have cash in my account?

I'm willing to trade my JVC for Shure SE420 I'm growing very interested in, or Xin Supermini IV.
