Or there're any better? Even under 100$ ?

the Beyer dt231's if you can find them. They have about eaqual sq - but w/ much more comfort.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the Philips SHP 2700 is significantly better overall and only costs about 30 EUR. It doesn't isolate as well though, and is not quite portable, if you need that.

Germania, i tried the dt 231 and i think they're a little bit worser, probably on the level of HD 412, 202 so on. Plus they're are not really closed.

Headphony, thank's for heads up, but, Philips headphones is taboo for me..

Any other options out there?

The K81DJ's are good value for money, if you can get past the comfort, or lack of, factor. If you have a big head forget it. I have stopped using mine for that reason, big head. When I was looking for some reasonably priced closed headphones, I couldn't find anything else as good as these for the money.

cheers

Be warned, they are VERY uncomfortable. Ant I mean it, seriously, they are BAD.

Mabe a used HD25SP?

Are they really that bad for comfort? I tried them once, hadn't any issues...But maybe you're talking about comfort in long listening sessions? I don't liked hd25sp for their lack of highs..

Listening with them for a long time will make your ears burn

Does stretching help?

Stretching the headband? No... for comfort, go with circumaural.

I use them exclusively for mixing where comfort is not as important.

Which closed circumaurals at this price are better sonically?

Why no stretching?

On the comfort issue, I bought an used pair that have HD25 velour pads and they are OK. I was expecting a vise type of pressure but I am pleasantly surprised. I can wear them for long stretch without discomfort.

I do not know how "used" they were...

Also they came recabled with silver wire, Home Grown Audio IC-4, and probably because of that they sound very good.
I was expecting to be overwelmed by bass but no, the bass is present but does not cover the rest of the music.A nice harmony.

I find the mids are a little recessed, comparing to clearer headphones. I suppose having more bass lessens some of the mid frequencies.

regards,

I don't know a lot about the phones in this price range... Maybe the Denon D1000 would fit the bill?

Stretching the headband might loosen the grip the K81DJ's have on your head, but you might sacrifice some isolation... and I just don't think you're going to make them super comfortable by loosening their grip.

If I wanted great comfort, I would simply look right to circumaural phones.

Yes, significantly. You have to bend them really hard. It feels like it is going to break but the metal is highly flexible so dont worry about it. I bent mine so much that they were too loose. Some people are retarded considering that's really all you have to do if they're too tight on lol

You don't "think"?

Well, I actually own a pair and I know from first hand experience that it totally does make them way more comfortable. Common sense. c'mon.

BTW D1000 is a nice choice. That will be my next purchase if I dont get atrios.
