How can I choose?? HELP!!

I started looking for a new set of 'phones after becoming increasingly dissappointed with my senn PMX200s... So I turned to head-fi. I first thought i would try to something in the ~70 range, but that ended soon. Now I'm trying to choose bewteen the Ultrasone DJ1 and the UE SF5. I listen to a very wide variety of music, but need good solid bass. I'll be listening with my zune (first gen), X-fi on my comp, but I also do sound mixing at a local venue.

Which is the better choice?

Also... At the moment I get either for around ~130....

i think the sf5 pro are the better choice here. but if you want a more slammin bass, you might consider the sf5 EB's

Seems like you need isolation.

For IEMs: Atrio M5 has good bass and can be had around $130 from road dog. SF5 is a good choice to with brighter sound sig.

For closed headphones: RP21, D1000, DT770 (might be too bassy for mixing).

Looks like we have a winner in the SF5's... Do the DJ1's have a particular weak point in the sound? Or are the SF5's just all around great? :-)

Also... How much of a difference will I hear between the SF5eb and the pros? The EB's are a bit cheaper (125 vs. 150), do they have worse sound quality?

I had the EB's for a while, and i was unimpressed. The bass is very overwhelming, muddy, and it really runs into the mids a lot. This was after almost 50 hours of burn-in time too.

Either get the Pro's, or look at some of the previously mentioned full-size cans.

Seriously, consider the Atrio M5's, if you're looking for bass ... plus they don't stick out of the ears as much as the super.fi's (which are supposed to sound very pleasing). The Future Sonics' bass is very natural and non-bloated, and highs and mids aren't totally sacrificed in favor of the bass. They fit comfortably and sound very nice with foamies. They sound about as close to "real" headphones as you can get from an IEM, at an excellent value (Road Dog is legit ...check out the Future Sonics thread).

I've been considering them more and more after looking at the size differences between them and the SF5's... How are they comfort wise? I've read that the Westones UM1's are very comfortable. How do they hold up the the M5's or Sf5s?

All right... I've narrowed it down between the SF5 and the M5/8 and I need to decide between the two. The M8's are $142 shipped at road dog and the the SF5's are $158 from earphonesolutions. Which should I buy? Please help... I'm tearing my hair out over this one :-)
