Did I just buy a fake pair of Creative EP-630's on Ebay?

It seemed too good to be true, I probably shouldve known better but there was only 1 minute to decide.
I got a brand new pair for about $13 shipped.
The seller has hundreds of transactions and a 100% feedback.
He also has multiple Senn cx300's starting at 99cents?

When I click on his "View sellers other items" it only shows 3 items for sale, but in his auctions he is advertising way more than up for auction??

Can someone find the shady here?

Sorry about that, but I DO think that it's fake one.
I've seen many of EP630s selling in my country. They are all put in a plastic case, not the original box. When I check them, they all turn out to be fakes.

Looks pretty legit to me... looks like he got his hands on a surplus lot, but I don't know much about these phones.

The photo of them in the bag on the laptop keyboard look different than the others, and those appear to be fake. The stock photo obviously isn't fake and the close up looks pretty good, though could be questionable. It definitely isn't the most promising auction, I would avoid it personally.

Little too late for that
Won a previous auction already-figured it was worth the $13 risk.
This guy will be receiving his first negative feedback from me if thye are fakes, and I am covered by Paypal.

Once I receive them-how can I tell if they are real or not?
Is there maybe one discerning attribute I should look out for?

I usually look at the silver ring, the indented part should not be in the center like it appears to be on the picture with the laptop, it should be a bit back like the others, but some counterfeiters have gotten wise to this and are making them better looking, so there are other things to look for, but most importantly just check the sound, if they sound bad they're probably fakes. There is still hope, but looking at this it doesn't look great. Good luck, hope this turns out well in some way for you, be it this guy is a lot less shady than we think and you get the real thing or you get your money back.

Sorry to say but it probably is. Almost all the ones on ebay (ep630 and senn cxsomething) are fake and most of them are like you said, around $13 and in OEM packaging.

Well I am looking at my ep630s right now, and I really can't see a difference. Mine are 100% real from circuit city...and the large photo on the auction is pretty close to mine. Of course, they could be sending you another set of phones - not the ones pictured. If anything I would say the sleeves don't look like mine...the ridge is more pronounced in their photo...but this could just be variance in different phones...

not so sure...but the packaging is totally different...

i bought mine in a plastic box which looks nice

add-on : it looks very real...might really be real

they look legit to me...they might be fake, but hey, it was only $3, eh?

seeing them on a laptop could mean something. Dell XPS laptops come with EP630s in the box. i dont know how they are packaged, though; they are OEM.

Hmm I think it could still be a fake.

very likely fake most of the previous stuff he sold are cx300, motorola razr chargers and px200 and also one copy of photoshp which are stuff that has been faked very often in the ebay market.

If you are correct, and I would tend to agree with your logic-why then has no one caught on to the fact that any of these items that he has sold were fakes?
I am assuming that to be the case because he has perfect feedback.
Surely, SOMEONE would have been savvy enough to notice the item he/she recieved was indeed a fake-and would have given him negative feedback.

BTW-why doesnt Creative have people searching Ebay for people who sell fakes? I know first hand that Gucci does that.
Regardless, i should be covered by Paypal.
