And if one takes into account the fact some of us simply don't cotton to O2's sonic signature, there are suddenly very little choices in the current-production 'stats.
After basically continuous audition of EH1.2b, I'm beginning to think it's almost unfair to label it as "HE90 clones" or Stax wanna-be's. EH1.2b has a tremendous sound all its own, one that some may prefer over anything else depending on his tastes.
I hope HE Audio works out its problems and continue to support its customers. I'm not too thrilled about my situation, but purely based on sound quality, I have decided against a refund, even if that means gambling on the (ouch) third pair. If the darn thing didn't sound the way it does, I assure you it would have stopped before the second pair.
