I was searching using EH-1.2b, so either way something should have came up. But nothing really.

That is a Korean site.
Don't you think the HE should have a Chinese site?

Interesting, so these are like Koss ESP950 are 600 V. Not the 580 V like Stax.

Checkitout! On this French site, on the 5th and 15th posts down, someone took pictures of my bedroom setup and posted using the pics.

Shouldn't I be getting royalties for this ? This is an invasion of my boudoir!
I'm like Jerry Lewis...loved by the French

homecinema-fr.com : Voir le sujet - Un nouveau fabricant/modèle de casque électrostatique ?

**EDIT- Also, he quotes me, David (vcoheda), and someone else describing the stats. Must be someone on Head-Fi with a different name on the French forum.
I can truly say that, "I'm quoted in audio crircles around the world"

He (he) did have a Chinese site, but I can't find it now.

So it appears Fang and Mr.He believe it may be a shipping issue with the phones. As in.... it is possibly damaging them due to the VERY thin diaphragm.

I personally DO NOT thinks it is, but I have made a decision to stick with this for the long haul. I will probably be returning this pair soon for an exchange/replacement. And will keep doing it until I get a pair that has no issues.(I'm a bit stubborn)

It's nice to see some specs. I don't quite get the bit about drive voltage The phones only need 100v for 100dB so why would you need more then 320v RMS?

good for you. persistence generally pays off.

i plan to return mine for a refund, but will keep my eye out for further developments and could see myself getting a He in the future.

i should have kept my 1.3.

“So it appears Fang and Mr.He believe it may be a shipping issue with the phones.”

Very Interesting. They need to pack a pair of Headphones and drop them from at least 3 feet onto a concrete floor. The drops need to be on all 6 sides and on all 8 corners of the box. Then open the headphones and inspect for mechanical or physical damage. The headphones need to be packed well enough to take this kind of punishment.

It did look like the headphones were wrapped in 1 layer of bubble wrap and the hard Styrofoam insulation.

Interestingly the Senn HE90’s have a hard plastic cradle under the blue velvet.

Good Luck with this- Mitch

Not those kind of shipping problems, Mitch. More like the kind induced to a scuba regulator traveling in a non-pressurized luggage/cargo section of the plane.

The tensile strength of mylar is immense so this wouldn't be a problem even if there was something to push against. Since there is no trapped air in these phones there will always be the same pressure on each side of the membrane so there is no way for it to stretch.

If that's the case, then they better start using more secure packaging. Really fast!
Cause I am certainly not the only one who were considering these 'phones, but have more or less written them off after reading about all the faulty pairs.
