They're here!

Ritual? Yes.

1) I unbox the item and inspect for physical damage
2) I power up the item and make sure it is at least functioning.
3) Upon verification of proper functioning. I start the break-in process.
4) I then take four hits of LSD and a few huffs of Ether, strip, turn it up and dance naked in supplication to the Audio Gods.
5) Take a break to towel off the perspiration from above mentioned dancing and take a moment to post on Head-Fi.
and now 6) Back to the Dancing.

Oh and I might actually have to do some work today.

Seems like an appropriate test method for a home rig.

He might get frost bite if it's a portable rig.

Damn, if this is what pleases the Audio Gods, I should have been blessed a long time ago. Well, maybe not the dancing naked part...

Well number 2 came in today, with number 1 still hanging around.



The good news. It's playing fine for about an hour now.

The bad news. The fit-and-finish appears worse than number 1, especially the cable heatshrinking, which is loose outside, providing no strain relief at all There's some unfinished stitching on the headband as well..

Don't you mean that's a sight that will make your eyes sore.

Think worse than Kathy Bates in At Play in the Fields of the Lord, yes that bad. (Not the headphones bad, me bad)

Compared to what's available current market (eletrostatic/dynamic), in the looks department (fit/finish), they have a long way to go. My initial gut feelings, based on fit/finish pictures shown above, are:

"Jesh, I can't believe I just shelled out $1k on these."

My pair is in the mail; cannot wait to get on the head impressions!
