I guess i am looking for electronic rock with femal lead. Kidneythieves would be the closest thing I can compare what I am looking for.

From that description... Curve?

I'm not familiar with Kidneythieves, though.

Curve might work, well later Curve that's less shoegazing like either "Come Clean" or "Gift" which can both be found cheap.

Interesting thread. If the OP wanted to stray more to the electronic side of things, the EBM genre offers several female or female fronted gothy, industrial groups at the moment like Pzychobitch, Unter Null, and Zombie Girl.

They don't sound like Kydney Thieves pe se, but not too far of a step if one is looking to branch out.

Hoping for more replies, I would be interested as well.

Android Lust is as close to female-fronted industrial that I've come across. She's been described as a female Trent, which is kind of a disservice. I do enjoy both of her albums, and Devour, Rise and Take Flight in particular is quite good.

Most of Artrosis is more gothic metal, but their album Fetish is a combination of eletronic and guitar driven, but it's slow and moody, not fast or aggressive. I know it's not well thought of, but it's probably my favorite of their albums.

I'll second the female-fronted EBM. I really like Unter Null's The Failure Epiphany, and listen to it a lot. Pzychobitch gets listened to less often, but I enjoy both of their albums as well.

I'll second Lacuna Coil (try "in a reverie") and The Gathering (try "if_then_else"). You already tried Collide, so I'll skip that. I'm not familiar with Jakalope, but I'm listening now - it seems lighter than I lean.

If you want something a bit more like Hole, you can try Jack off Jill "Clear Hearts, Grey Flowers". I'm sure some think it's their too polished/commercial album, but it's the one I like.
