If you guys go back and review the published documentation for the K-1000s (official documentation, not silly speculation) you will find that they max out around 1W delivered into their 120 ohm load. A typical solid state speaker amp needs to be able to put out about 15 Watts per channel into 8 ohms in order to be able to deliver 1 Watt into a 120 ohm load. Those are the facts. Armed with the facts, it's easy to find solutions to the problem. It makes no difference whether it's balanced or not.
