Purple Backing?

you know you have choices for inner and outer enclosure parts.

ahh I'm going to give you gals a good photo review with macro shots and just got an old stick shuffle to test them as that is the clearest player I've ever listened to. But I didn't even receive my impression kit as of yet.

How good is the isolation considering that they are hollow?
Holy. seems like 9 pages popped up out of nowhere. I can't believe I never heard of these...but I think they wouldn't have so good build to keep costs/labor down. dunno...will look into these (definitely if the sound great)

there's a free costco impressions thread somewhere just popped up too
post #85 of 3960
meh, no costco around here

AFAIK, all custom IEMs are hollow on the inside.

I hope in the future their IEM's look better than the ones posted here, those look horrid imo. If they sound good thats the important thing of course. Perhaps a coloured shell would be the answer, and a detachable cable wouldnt hurt either.

There looks like there's a lot of room for error but still like they know what they're doing...I hope.

I'm scared to get impressions though. I heard that if you diy wrong, you could pull out your eardrum! or 60 bucks...

Look at the shell on the left. Also, you can see acrylic bubbles and whatnot on the right shell. The reason the FreQs look worse is because my pictures are high-res and packed with detail, so you can see all the nooks and crannies.

The sound quality is really amazing... The FreQs are also very low impedence - yes, lower than the SF5 Pro.

Once FreQs get detachable cables. They will be amazing.

You all should be excited. I am getting excited at this sound

Maybe the bubbles is an inevitable result with the clear shells. Under close examination of my red and blue shells of my livewires, it's pretty smooth and clear for me. Then again, its probably just more conspicuous with the clear shells.

just forget about the bubbles(on the other side you can be glad about them...you will get custom bubble-style for free . what really matters is the SQ and detachable cables.
