How to SIGNIFICANTLY Increase Bass Quality and Quantity on your iPod

view>show equalizer>set preamp to -12db, 32 to +12, 64 to +12, 125 to half a line from the top, 250 1.5 line from the top, 500 4 lines from the top, and from then up in the middle>go to the list and save it as a eq preset>make a playlist containing the songs you wish to enhance the bass on>drag the playlist into your ipod>select all of the songs>right click>select "get info">at the bottom increase volume by 15% to compensate for volume lost through the lower pre-amp setting>select the blue check to the left of it>change the eq settings to the eq you just made>click the blue check to the left>click done

i did this to all of the bass heavy electronic music along with the hip-hop on my ipod for use with my DT770s. it increased the bass by about 70% without sacrificing much sound quality.

keep in mind this does NOT effect all of your songs so experiment with it.

Producers already do this by "compressing" the hell out of music.. *cry* You're really just making it worse.. *sob*

never fear, for these are only the few songs which you wish to push the limit with, the rest i prefer normal.

Hmm, I didn't try this on specific songs, but I did save the EQ setting in iTunes and it didn't show up in the EQ list on the iPod.

I really wish they would fix/update simple features like this..

it works. my 'electronic' setting has been the use for this for a while. just save over electronic and voila, you have a special user eq. apply it to the song and by bye

no, just usual itunes - it has been a feature forever just no one seems to use it or bothers with it since they do not like itunes or the serious itunes users just don't use customisable eq settings

Just download SRS WOW SANDBOX software(free trial) or DFX software and it will improve(quantity and quality)the bass and other freq on your ipod.

oh my god. that worked really well. there isnt any way to get that on a ipod is there?

When you change the SRS setting and it will change on your ipod too. I don't know if there any software available yet.
