For that kind of money I'd personally be looking at something other than that.

Its taking me a while to actually get my portable rig together- deciding on and then recieving headphones, deciding on and recieving dap, acessories, getting faults seen to etc- but now that its nearly ready to go places I was just wondering how ppl carry their Sa6 around? Being my first foray into high quality headphones I am not accustomed to ever having really protected portable headphones before, They were just flung directly in pockets, bags etc. But, now, with an expensive set of phones this convenience is no longer open/ I wana protect my SA6, so I was wondering how ppl transport their SA6? Do you use the supplied case or are there better phone cases available out there? Any recommendations or insight would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

The case they provide, even while very nice looking, as I also told them, is IMO not very well designed, the lock is not good at all, it gets loose all the time, and the conical shape they have in the black lower half part, makes it useless as there is no way of coiling the cable around and that it will end in a way that you can close it, as the plug always protude too much, and while you try to lock the case, it will get open again, as the plug will push it from the inside...

I use now one of the cases the Klipsch gave me, and period...

Yeah, the included case is nice to look at, but doesn't function well.

I like my Westone hard case the most as it is quite spacious, but my PK1 refuses to move out UE metal case isn't bad either.

i just shove it in a small inner compartment in my bag together with my ipod

Thats odd. I had no real trouble with the functionality of the case! I could get it to hold the sa6 snugly and securely so that they fit in it perfectly comfortably, no fatal flaws with complementation or anything as you seem to be experiencing yourself. Strange. It took me a little while to suss out how to properly organise the sa6 into the case and through its layers but once I got a system I can get em in neatly, it houses em well. I agree that the lid of the case seems to fasten a bit weakly and could be succeptible to opening quite easily. I also think i would find it a chore to use this as my day to day case as, though i can get the sa6 into the case comfortably, it takes time and a bit of effort, having to wrap the cord round the spindle tightly, following it round attentively with each evolution and with concentration and diligance, akin to wrapping a guitar string off round the machine head. I can imagine it becoming a bit of a chore like! Hence, I'm looking for another, easier to use, more practical case!

Would you mind to post a methodology to coil it up nicely, maybe an small video in YOUTUBE, I'm pretty organized, and no matter what I tried, it ended with the freaking plug protuding and on the way, and do not let me close it!!!!! maybe my cable is longer!!!

I'm afraid this is from loose memory as my sa6 has had problems with the headphone jack and i'm currenly waiting on my replacement so this is goin on something i was acccomplishing fairly intuitively and instinctively and that also i havnt done in a few weeks. Also, I'm at a friends atm and so neither have my sa6 and case to hand nor do I have the facilities to record a video. I'll give the description of method a shot!

Basically, I take the jack end of the of the cable. I pin that against the spindle with one hand/set of fingers. I then tightly and closely proceed to wrap the cable around the spindle with my other hand, maybe using the thumb of my first hand to aid in this process. With the first 2-3-4 evolutions I make sure to wrap the cable across the jack against the spindle, thus, after about this many evolutions replacing my thunb as the pinner of the jack against the spindle with cable- I think this where you may have been having problems if you werent pinning the jack with the cable as you coil it. This eventually allows you to remove your thumb altogether and then its a case of carrying on coiling around the spindle until you gauge the right amount of remaining cable to leave so that and the attatched headpone units feeds up through the cut away gap and onto the removable foamy mould and fit into their moulds. Hope thats relatively clear!

Not sure if I underestood correctly but do you began to coil it by the plug end???
I place the two earpieces in place on the top compartment, and with hte cable connected to them, I begin to coil it from that end and no matter what I do, the plug always end on top protuding too much....

Yes, he begins with the plug end and coils tightly around it. To be honest, this never occurred to me either.

I had the exact same problem initially, but I've somehow managed to get the earphones to fit using this method with great care...In any case, like BloodSugar00 says, it's still enough of a chore that I use something else (a generic aluminum sliding-top case) for daily storage.

Yer you're starting at the opposite end to me which just doesnt seem naturally pratical or logical to me and I can imagine it would be very difficult! I'm sure you'll find it easier if you start wrapping around spindle from jack end to unit end so the process starts at bottom of/within case and works its way up to surface rather than vice versa. You have a lot mkore control over it that way, I find.

It's funny how intuitive the earphone-end-first method is to some of us. My concern with your method, BloodSugar00, is the strain all that tight coiling puts on the cable. Sure, it's fully replaceable and all...but I have no intention of replacing mine early.
