Me too.

After reading about 250+ pages worth of posts I decided to go with the SA6. While I'm truly impressed with these IEMs...I do wish they had more "punch" when it comes to the bass. I've tried the "bass+ module mod" and it sounds better...but it's still not as "punchy" as I'd like. I blame myself for not having done more research on armatures and dynamic drivers. What I am curious to know though is if two armatures can produce the 'oomph' of a dynamic driver...with one of the armatures being dedicated to the lows....

These IEMs are still great imo. With the SA6, I've enjoyed my music collection more so than I ever have with my $36 Philips IEMs.

Not sure about any of the dual-armature IEMs currently available (I've only had experience with the super.fi 5 Pro, not the q-JAYS or Westone UM2), but you might get what you're after with a different single-armature set -- The Klipsch Image X10 does it for me.

i just called sleek-audio and the customer service is definitely top notch. i described the problem, and the csr basically asked about most of solutions posted in the forums and told me to send them in. the csr also leaked out some info about bass ++ port that just arrived, so definitely something to look forward to.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm definitely looking forward to getting more bass!

the durability of the SA6 is my main concern and the reason i haven't pulled the trigger yet. are the issues regarding build quality that i have read about occassional or have occurred somewhat commonly amongst SA6 owners?

I've had my pair for about a week now and I've messed with the ports quite a bit. Everything still works as it should and nothing has broken. They still sound fantastic (minus the bass impact that I'm looking for). From what I've read, they've brought the manufacturing from overseas back to the States for build quality purposes. I dunno how long ago the move was made...but things are looking good thus far with my pair.

Edit: I can provide links, if you'd like, with what I've read...but it'll take some time for me to dig them all back up

They already moved the manufacturing plant from China back to States for quite a long time, early this year.

The QC still persist though. It all depend on your luck.

I think the sleek custom has a better build quality as there isn't ports to switch around. Am I right to say that?

You are correct. The Sleek custom is very solidly built.

I'd think all customs are solidly built because they're like so thick, haha.

Question is, does the custom Sleeks provide a improvement to the sound quality. Specifically improvement in the bass department. From what I understand, the customs have the same sound quality as the normal SA6s and are built custom with preselected tuning ports. When I had mines, though they were warmer than my ER-4's, the SA6s were still far from being warm and full like the SE530s or even my Sony EX700s. I preferred my old deceased q-Jays to the SA6s. I would like to give the custom Sleeks a go if there is a change in sound quality though between the custom and the SA6s.

There should be some improvements over the SA6 as they would have better fit. The better the fit, the better the sound I assume. I think they will have clearer bass, better isolation than the universal ones. But then again, I haven't tried it so I can't keep assuming stuffs. Did anyone tried the universal sa6 and bought the custom one?

Theoretically, what you state should be the case but, of course, there can be problems achieving ideal fit with customs to achieve that 'perfect' seal to recieve such benefits so its not a given. One person I'm aware of who owns/has tried both the Sleek SA6 universals and the Sleek customs is EyeAmEye.
