Possible to obtain Er-4 cable alone?

Is there any way to buy a cable from Etymotic, without returning the broken one (which I don't have), without proof of ownership? I figured I'd ask before callying Etymotic; perhaps someone has experience in this issue. On the other hand, would anybody be willing to sell one? FYI, I bought a set without a cable with the intention of buying an Apuresound, until I discovered the price.

Sure, Ety sells them, for $65. Try the FS forum here. Or post a WTB for the cable. In fact, I sold one a year ago, for $50, after I sold my ER4Ps.

Thanks, and I'm looking for a p-s cable too, but I actually need the cable that is the er-4, if you know what I mean.

Oops, I thought you mean the P to S cable. That's what I was referring to. Not sure if they sell regular ER4P cable.

You should try to email Etymotic customer support, when they replaced my cable it was $50. I never sent in Proof of purchase or anything to them when they replaced all my stuff so i dont think you would have to worry about that.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. As long as I don't have to send anything to them I should be alright.

You should be able to get Etymotics to put a new cable on for $50-75. You will have to send in your pods and have them do it though as they will not sell neither cable nor pods loose despite it being possible for the end user to replace the parts. They claim that it is a complex and complete product and they need to test it as a whole to stand behind it. I have tried and that is what I got told by their customer support. Proof of purchase however is not required and they normally service products for free even long after the guarantee periode has expired. This I also know from personal experience
